Middle School Students Compete in Data Jam Data Jam

The science 7/8 students competed in Data Jam at Marist College this past Saturday. One of our groups placed 2nd overall in the middle school category. We also had several groups receive honorable mention. This is the third year in a row that a Pine Plains group has placed 2nd overall. This year there was 74 projects submitted, 202 students and 21 schools involved. Project completion is huge accomplishment and students work very hard on them from February to May!

Important info for parents:

There is a new series that premiered March 31 on Netflix called “13 Reasons Why”, which is based on the book written by Jay Asher in 2007.  The fictional story follows the life of a teenage girl who left behind 13 mysterious audio recordings after killing herself.  The recordings are addressed to people she feels played a role in her decision to end her life.
