Notice Notice

Dear Parents:

I am writing to give you information about two incidents that took place at the Stissing Mountain Junior-Senior High School yesterday, February 28th.  First, I apologize for waiting until this morning to notify parents of this situation.  The investigation into these incidents lasted late in the evening yesterday and I wanted to give as complete an update as possible.

We became aware of two statements made by our students.  One statement was on social media, the other was allegedly made verbally in school. Neither statement posed a direct or immediate threat/danger to our school or students. We immediately notified the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department.  Deputies and Detectives worked with our administrative staff throughout the afternoon and into the evening on this matter. Again, we can assure you that neither statement threatened immediate risk or danger to our students.
