My name is Mr. Colgan, and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year.  I call my classroom "Colgan Industries" and I model it as it were a real business, where the students are the "employees", and the product we manufacture are "hard working, polite, and industious learners".  My role is  "CEO", and as in the real world, students are advised that I will be "paying" them; not in money, but in an education.  Consequently, they are encouraged to work hard and to "make" the most of their education, to "earn" as much as they can.  I hope your child enjoys his/her time while employed at Colgan Industries, and if you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to see my at any time.
