Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Fischetti

Hello! This is my 9th year at Seymour Smith and my 11th year teaching. I have been involved in the world of children for almost my whole life from having younger siblings to working in daycare centers to learning how to golf and play tennis at summer camps with 8 year olds. Working with children has always been a passion of mine and now I am proud to also call it a career!

I started my official schooling at Dutchess Community College, majoring in Early Childhood Education and then continued on to the State University of New York at New Paltz, completing my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I was then accepted into the Master's Program at the University at Albany, specializing in Special Education and Literacy. I started my career doing long term leave replacements in 2nd grade and 6th grade. I landed my first full year position as a Special Education Teacher, moving to a position as a Reading Teacher a few years later. Now I am starting my fourth year as a 3rd Grade Teacher. I'm very much looking forward to another fantastic school year with fantastic students!

Mr. Fischetti and I live in Pleasant Valley with our 5 year old daughter, Lillian and 1 year old son, Joseph. My family lives in Pine Plains so you might see me out and about getting ice cream at Stewarts or grabbing a few things at Pecks. We like to visit new parks or playgrounds we haven't been to before so you might see us there too!
