My Name is Steve Huber and I have been teaching math at Stissing Mountain Jr/Sr. High School for four years.  Prior to arriving here in Pine Plains, I taught at Dutchess Community College and in the Arlington and Catskill school districts. I have been teaching for a total of seven years and have enjoyed every minute of it.  I grew up in Red Hook, New York, and currently live there. 

Immediately following high school, I joined the United States Army for a total of four years.  After being honorably discharged, I earned an Associates degree from Dutchess Community College in Electrical Engineering Technology. I continued on to earn a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from SUNY New Paltz and finally completed my Masters degree in the Art of Teaching from Bard College.

In addition to teaching, I also coach football, basketball, and baseball at the school. I enjoy coaching because I grew up playing sports and it allows me to build positive relationships with the students that I otherwise would not be able to build inside the classroom. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, training at the local CrossFit gym, and spending time with my family.
