Mark McGuire earned his B.A. in Secondary Education-Earth Science with a minor in Environmental Science from SUNY Plattsburgh and M.S. in Education and Technology from Western Connecticut University. Mr. McGuire has taught for over 20 years and is currently teaching Earth Science, Environmental Science, Astronomy, and Oceanography. 
He is a NYS Master Teacher and the STANYs South Eastern SAR for Earth Science.  He is a member of the National Science Teachers Association as well as the New York Earth Science Teachers Association.  
Outside of the classroom, he has coached for 30 seasons for multiple sports teams, including spring track, winter track, football, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Mr. McGuire has also advised the theater, chess, game, weight lifting, wrestling and jujitsu clubs. In his own time, Mr. McGuire enjoys training in Jujitsu, Judo, weight lifting, reading, watching films, and spending time with his friends and family.
