I have been teaching Spanish at Stissing Mountain since 1999.  During that time, I have taught every Spanish course in the department and every grade level from 7th grade to seniors.  Once I began studying Spanish in 7th grade (a long time ago), it became my favorite subject in school.  I love the Spanish language and enjoy using it.  I am lucky to be able to share it with my students. I enjoy traveling and I share that with my students as well.  I have traveled with students to Spain twice and Costa Rica five times.  I fell in love with Costa Rica and its people. It is truly a remarkable place.

  My goal is to challenge students without them feeling overly frustrated.  Some of the grammar concepts we study are difficult and require consistent effort in order to master them.    Most of my students say that Spanish class is a lot of work but if you put in the effort, you will learn a lot about the language.  

I want students and parents to know that I am here to help.  Please feel free to contact me with questions and/or concerns.  Education works best when we all work together.  If a student is having difficulty, the best thing for that student to do is to contact me via email.  Extra help is always available.
