Hello! My name is Mrs. Garnica and I am the new ENL teacher at Seymour Smith ILC.  I am from Poughkeepsie, NY. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from The University of the Virgin Islands on the sunny Caribbean island of  St. Thomas. I recently graduated from Mercy College with a Master of Science in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Education. I have my professional certifications in Childhood Education and ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) Education.  I love to work with students of diverse cultures and enjoy helping them learn the English Language. I look forward to a great year!  

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Sra. Garnica y soy la nueva maestra de ENL en Seymour Smith ILC. Soy de Poughkeepsie, NY. Me gradué con un Bachillerato en Artes en Educación Primaria de la Universidad de las Islas Vírgenes en la soleada isla caribeña de St. Thomas. Recientemente me gradué de Mercy College con una Maestría en Ciencias en Educación TESOL (Enseñanza del Inglés a Hablantes de Otros Idiomas). Tengo mis certificaciones profesionales en Educación Infantil y Educación ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages). Me encanta trabajar con estudiantes de diversas culturas y disfruto ayudarlos a aprender el idioma inglés. Espero un gran año!
