I am pleased to announce that the Board of Education of the Pine Plains Central School District extended the contract of Dr. Martin Handler, Superintendent of Schools, through the 2021-2022 school year.
Under Dr. Handler’s leadership, academic performance of the District has increased dramatically. At the same time, astute budgeting and debt-free financial status of our District is the envy of County school districts. The Board also recognizes the innovative partnerships Dr. Handler has crafted with surrounding school districts to ensure financial responsibility on one hand while providing expanding opportunities for our students that might, otherwise, not be viable. We believe our District has made extraordinary strides in the past several years and we look forward to that continued trajectory under Dr. Handler’s leadership.
